Andhra Pradesh has a rich cultural heritage. The rich history, architecture and culture makes the natives feel proud. Here we try to brief some of the places without seeing which the tour of Andhra Pradesh is incomplete.

Charminar Charminar, Andhra Pradesh

The Charminar is a signature minaret of Hyderabad . The square shaped building of granite is build upon four arches each in four different directions.
Each corner of the square structure has a meter high. It is because of these four minars the building is called Charminar. Each minar rises from a lotus-leaf base which is practically a characteristic feature of Qutub Shahi buildings.

Mecca Masjid Mecca Masjid, Andhra Pradesh

It is the largest mosque in the world situated beside Charminar which accommodates nearly 10,000 people at one time. Mecca Masjid is so called because it is said that the bricks used to build the central arch were brought from Mecca. Though Qutb Shahis started the project it was Aurangzeb who completed it in 1694. Fifteen graceful arches; five in each of the three sides, support the roof.

Salar jang Museum Salar Jung Museum, Andhra Pradesh

Salar jang Museum is situated on southern bank of river Musi. The museum has 34 galleries. Special sections for children and library are housed in which good collections of Mir Yusuf Ali Khan and others from all over the world is there. Other than these, exquisite collection of precious piece of Ivory and Marble sculptures forms the collection.

Ramoji Film city Ramoji Film City, Andhra Pradesh

It is a film studio with all kind of arrangements for filmmakers and many entertainment settings for youth. The complex spreads in 2,000 acres. Film producer Ramoji Rao, opened the place in 1996 in association with Usha Kiron Movies. It is also a popular tourism and recreation centre.



Golconda Fort Golconda Fort, Andhra Pradesh

Golconda fort is one of the famous forts of India originated in Kakatiyas period. Earlier Golconda was a mud fort which was later rebuilt by Qutb Shahi Kings.
The fort has amazing acoustics and ingenious water supply system and also has the famous Fateh Rahben gun. Sound & Light Show happens at Golconda Fort.

Ramakrishna Beach Rama krishna Beach, Andhra Pradesh

The RK beach spreading along the coastline of the Bay of Bengal and is a great picnic spot to spend time sunbathing and surfing with your loved ones. With its serene waters and tranquil atmosphere, the beach offers a lovely vista of the countryside.



Nagarjuna Sagar Dam Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, Andhra Pradesh

Nagarjuna Sagar, located 150 km from Hyderabad, is one of the tallest masonry dams of the world. The Nagarjuna Dam irrigates over 10 lakh acres of land and is also a prominent Buddhist centers. It is a favorite picnic spot of tourists. This mighty 1-km long dam is built across the river Krishna and has one of the largest networks of canal systems. Also the largest artificial lake is here.

Tirupati Temple Tirupati Temple, Andhra Pradesh

Tirumala's Balaji shrine attracts the largest number of pilgrims in India. It is the richest shrines in the world. The presiding deity in ancient and sacred temple is Sri Venkateswara. The temple is located on the seventh peak, Venkatachala of the Tirupati Hill.
