Kozhikode Tour

Mananchira Square

The Mananchira Square is an architectural grandeur established around the Mananchira tank which is a green carpeted area, surrounded by ethnic buildings and musical fountain. Commonwealth Trust Factory, Town Hall, Public Library, Lalitkala Academy Hall, CSI Church, Pattalam Mosque, Commonwealth Spinning Mill, Kuttichera, Mishkal Mosque, Kuttichera Tank, Jama'atpalli Mosque and Muchhandipalli Mosque are the important settlements at the Square.

Thali Temple

The Thali Temple has been very important in yesteryears as it hosts the legendary annual contest, Revathi Pattanam in which artists exhibit their unique skills and talents in front of the then rulers of Samuthiri clan. Today also the temple is a revered religious spot for Hindus.

Kozhikode Beach

Beaches of Kozhikode are a special attraction. The walk on the sand with pleasant cool breeze caressing your face in twilight helps you relax every tension. The Lion's Park, lighthouse, Marine Life Aquarium and two piers attracts everyone.

Dolphin Point

The Dolphin Point besides the beach presents pleasant view of dolphins playing hide and seek in the sea water.

Kappad Beach

Kappad is the land where Vasco da Gama set foot for the first time on May 27, 1498. Now a small stone monument is seen at the beach which narrates the story of that event.

Pisharikavu

The murals inside the temple are the oldest in entire state of Kerala. Pisharikavu is bring to life during the annual festival in the month of April - May and people around rejoice and in high spirits.

Thusharagiri Waterfall

This splendid fall is worth visiting for their scenic beauty and tranquility. Thusharagiri waterfall is a good picnic spot.
